Opportunities, Bottlenecks & Collaboration Explored in CPNL Webinar

On September 2, 2025, Circular Plastics NL (CPNL) hosted a webinar on chemical recycling and depolymerization, focusing on business and investment development in the Netherlands. The session brought together industry, research, and government representatives to discuss infrastructure, investment tools, and cross-sectoral collaboration needed to scale advanced plastics recycling technologies and accelerate circular material loops.

Presentations from speakers included:
- Presentation Oscar van Veenhuizen, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, on supporting the scaling of advanced plastics recycling technologies
- Presentation Jan Willem Slijkoord, Circular Plastics NL, on market developments and the role of strategic collaboration
- Presentation Jan Georg Rosenboom, MarcoCycle (USA), on depolymerization and scale-up in PET
- Presentation AnneMarth Vrind, Verpact (NL), on packaging-related feedstock and the collection system
- Presentation Marc Prevoo from Synova (NL) on depolymerization and scale-up in polystyrene

The webinar reinforced CPNL's goal to support the Dutch mission to close plastic material loops by 2050 by facilitating co-funded projects and connecting ecosystem partners.
