Have a recycling project idea? Have it reviewed for the NIKI program
In the fall of 2026, the NIKI program (NIKI stands for National Investment Program for Industrial Climate Projects) will open for new applications. Through this grant program, companies can receive funding to commercially scale up an innovative technology. The grant is intended to cover investment and operating costs for projects that are ready for scaling up. If you meet the program’s eligibility requirements, you can have your project idea evaluated and receive advice; this project idea is available atwww.rvo.nl/subsidies-financiering/niki. You can also find more information about the NIKI there.
In addition, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK) and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) are assessing whether there are companies engaged in recycling investment projects that meet the eligibility criteria of the NIKI program but are too small in scale (NIKI sets a minimum subsidy threshold of 30M€). These companies are being asked to have their project ideas reviewed by EZK and RVO as well. Based on this input, EZK and RVO will RVO consider whether to develop a modified subsidy scheme for smaller-scale projects that can cover both investment and operating costs.
If you would like to submit the form directly to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, please contact one of the Program Line Managers at Circular Plastics NL.
