Week of the Circular Economy | Inspiration Tour Circular Plastics

Online
15:00 - 16:30

Platform Sustainability Industry is pleased to invite you to an online event that explores the future of plastics and illuminates the path to a circular economy. During this inspiration tour, you will get an in-depth insight into the different plastics chains, from polyolefins to PET and styrene, and discover Coca-Cola's journey to a circular packaging chain. In addition, CuRe will show you how contaminated plastic streams are reused.

Plastics are indispensable because of their strength, lightness and versatility in applications. However, the use of fossil raw materials for plastics contributes to CO2 emissions, which eventually end up in the atmosphere. Fortunately, plastics are highly reusable, but this requires establishing new chains and developing new technologies.

Program:

Circular plastics as part of the industrial ecosystem Speaker: Marc Spekreijse, director of Circular Plastics

The Circular Plastics NL program plays a crucial role in this by using subsidies to close existing cycles and develop new materials that are easily recyclable. The focus is on value retention of plastics in multiple life cycles.

A circular supply chain starts with asking the right questions Speaker: Eva Amsterdam, Senior Sustainability Manager Coca-Cola

Eva Amsterdam will share how Coca-Cola is leading the way in creating a circular packaging supply chain by asking crucial questions and implementing innovative solutions.
