CPNL @ Plastics Fair 2023

Brabanthallen Den Bosch
09:00 - 17:00

CPNL is organizing collaborative workshops for each program line on Sept. 21 to bring together parties interested in a specific topic, encourage collaboration and support them to work together to produce an application. In addition, the team can be found at the CPNL booth, number 5, on the exhibition floor, next to the Rethink Expo plaza and catering.

As a follow-up to the online information sessions in July and August, this further introduction and linkage for the CPNL program lines will take place during live sessions during the Plastics Fair on Thursday, Sept. 21, in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. Both sessions will start plenary in the Bosch Hall with a presentation on the CPNL program and the upcoming NWO - and RVO grant schemes.

Matchmaking 9:30 – 11:00

Information and matchmaking session for those interested in CPNL program development and upcoming RVO-tender for:

  • Mechanical recycling of polyolefin packaging (p3): Are you interested in contributing to the composition of a consortium focused on showcases for HDPE /PP (rigid) packaging or (L)LDPE flexible packaging?
  • Recycling of styrene-based materials (p4): Are you willing and able to participate in thinking about circularity and putting together a consortium focused on showcases for styrenics?
  • Chemical depolymerization (p5): Are you willing and able to contribute ideas on circularity and putting together a consortium focused on showcases for PET packaging, textiles, carpets, PU foams, or a demo plant for chemical depolymerization of PET, PA or PU?

Then come to the morning session on Sept. 21.

Matchmaking 13:30 – 15:00

Information and matchmaking session for those interested in CPNL program development and upcoming calls for:

  • Characterization, sorting and washing (p2): Are you willing and able to participate in thinking about circularity and putting together a consortium focused on research projects for characterization technologies to improve the quality of recycling output, the development of a digital expert system for sorting plastic waste, and/or the development of specific pretreatment and sorting techniques for synthetic rubber?
  • Thermochemical Recycling (p6): Are you willing and able to participate in thinking about circularity and putting together a consortium for a showcase for mixed waste streams for thermochemical recycling?
  • NWO call: The Incubator (p8): Are you involved in a research organization focused on technical innovations to make plastics circular? Through the Incubator we are looking for knowledge institutes that can conduct research on developing materials and additives that facilitate the recycling process of plastics. In total, we are looking for 10 research proposals for a duration of 5 years that can be considered for the NWO call, with 6 million euros available and expected to open in October.

Then come to the afternoon session on Thursday, September 21 in the Bosch Hall during the Plastics Fair in Den Bosch. The final program will be announced via CPNL's newsletter. Registration as a participant for the CPNL sessions during the Plastics Fair is free of charge and can be done via this link: https://register.visitcloud.com/survey/17f4r631eynyo?actioncode=NTWO000174IZY&partner-contact=2l4y5vikfck1b or click here ⇩

The growth fundprogram CPNL contributes to the goal of recycling 50 percent of all plastics in the Netherlands by 2030 and achieving a fully circular plastics chain by 2050. The program started in 2023, runs for eight years and has eight program lines that focus on bottlenecks to close the cycles for existing plastics, provide sustainable growth opportunities for the Dutch economy and use grants to accelerate the transition.
